UBC Ambassadors

UBC Ambassadors host world-class academic conferences that bring international scholars to our campus. They build bridges in the global research community while showcasing UBC’s academic leadership. This rewarding role offers recognition, expanded networks, professional development and invitations to special events with university leaders.

Message from the President

Each year, UBC hosts more than 100 academic conferences, from small meetings to gatherings of more than 10,000 delegates. Indeed, our beautiful campuses have welcomed some of the worldâs most prestigious academic events.
I am especially thankful to our colleagues who lead and organize these important gatherings, and I know from experience it is no small endeavour. Through the UBC Ambassadors program, we celebrate and thank those leaders who are positioning UBC at the center of global research and scholarship.
By convening leading thinkers from around the world, our Ambassadors help strengthen UBCâs reputation as a place where ideas cross boundaries and solutions take shape. All my thanks to all our Ambassadors, whose contributions help make UBC a central hub for national and international excellence.
I encourage everyone to take part in the UBC Ambassadors program and help showcase the extraordinary talent and impact of our university community.
